Bears
When I was writing Bearkeeper, I went to a sanctuary in India for rescued dancing bears. It's run by a charity called Wildlife SOS. Visit their site - http://www.wildlifesos.org - for more information about their work.Here is a picture of me and one of their bears:

About a year ago, I went on holiday to the USA. There are lots of bears there - black bears and grizzly bears - and I was lucky enough to meet one. Here's a picture to prove it:
The bear and I are sitting outside a shop in a fabulous small town called Durango. It's in Colorado. If you ever go there, you might meet this bear too.
