Three Diamonds and a Donkey

The Misfitz are in Marrakech with Ben's father and his fiancee. When her diamond ring is stolen, the police quickly arrest a young local boy.

But is he really the thief?

The Misfitz don't think so. They start their own investigation - and soon find danger and deadly surprises lurking in the secret corners and dark alleys of the famous city...

Marrakech

Here are some pictures from my last trip to Morocco.

This is a carpet salesman who invited me into his shop. I sat with him for half an hour, chatting about life and carpets. He was very disappointed when I didn't buy anything. Now, looking at this picture, I feel rather disappointed too.

This is a spice shop. Each of the big plastic bowls contains a different ground spice. The smell is amazing.

The Jemma al Fna. The big square in the heart of the Old City. During the day, it's packed with musicians and magicians and fortune tellers and snake charmers and beggars and shopkeepers, trying to persuade you to hand over a few coins.

At night, the square is transformed into an enormous open-air restaurant. Men in long white coats serve delicious - and very cheap - food from stalls, bringing bowls of salad or freshly grilled sausages to your table.

You can have chicken and chips if you want. Or lamb squewers. Or all kinds of salad. Even snails.

Here is the remnants of my last meal in the Jemma al Fna. It was so delicious that I ate everything except a few olives, a little bread and the spicy sauces, which are too hot for me.
